CBUS 108 - Customs Valuation and Digital

Course Description:

This program aims to provide participants with deep theoretical knowledge and advanced practical skills to understand and apply the principles of customs valuation and rules of origin in line with the standards of the World Trade Organization, the World Customs Organization, and relevant international agreements. The training will focus on practical applications and real case studies, enabling participants to efficiently handle customs value, rules of origin issues, and daily challenges in customs and trade environments. The program also equips participants with technical skills to use ERP systems, electronic forms, and AI platforms to automate customs valuations and improve readiness for audits.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  1. Definition of customs value and its role in the customs system.
  2. Apply valuation methods according to the WTO Agreement.
  3. Identify the basic concepts of rules of origin within free trade agreements.
  4. Comprehensive overview of relevant free trade agreements.
  5. Practical application of rules of origin and linking them to customs privileges.
  6. Use tools like ERP and Excel to organize customs valuation data.
  7. Automate workflows related to valuation documentation.
  8. Build and manage databases of similar goods for alternative valuation.
  9. Analyze price trends to support accurate customs declarations.
  10. Apply AI tools to detect discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
