CBUS 107 - Customs Procedures and Supply

Course Description:

This program provides participants with comprehensive knowledge of the customs procedures required to complete import and export operations, the types of special customs regimes and their applications in accordance with the principles and standards of the Revised Kyoto Convention on modern customs procedures. The program explains how to coordinate work processes among supply chain partners to ensure compliance with customs laws. Participants will also learn how to prepare clear operating procedures, design systems for monitoring and evaluating performance, and use effective collaboration methods suited to customs-related operations.

 

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  1. Overview of the World Customs Organization: its objectives, importance, and general principles.
  2. Comprehensive understanding of customs procedures for import and export in accordance with the Revised Kyoto Convention.
  3. Concept and types of special customs regimes (special procedures).
  4. Identifying customs clearance procedures, stages, and related documentation.
  5. Define the supply chain and its fundamentals, and illustrate their relevance in business operations.
  6. Identify the key drivers of logistics excellence and analyze their role in improving efficiency and effectiveness.
  7. Describe shipping and transportation concepts and demonstrate their application in operational contexts.
  8. Apply essential procedures of export and import management to support successful international trade activities.
  9. Interpret customs compliance requirements and evaluate regulations governing cross-border trade.
  10. Examine contractual terms related to customs and differentiate their applications across trade agreements.
  11. Assess the impact of international trade agreements on supply chain, logistics, and customs practices.
  12. Evaluate green customs initiatives and propose strategies to promote sustainable trade practices.
