Course Description: This Course is designed to equip aspiring tour guides with the knowledge, skills, and professionalism required to embark on a fulfilling career in the dynamic tourism industry. Throughout the course, participants will explore the core principles and best practices of tour guiding, including role of a tour guide, effective and professional communication, historical and cultural knowledge, customer service, itinerary planning, group management, and crisis handling. The course also includes field trips to the Grand Egyptian Museum where participants will practice many of the techniques they learn in the course.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
1) Analyze the role and responsibilities of a tour guide. 2) Practice story telling techniques, and public speaking abilities. 3) Acquire the communication and problem-solving skills needed for a professional tour guide 4) Evaluate the impact and usage of verbal and non-verbal communication 5) Conduct proper research techniques to verify information 6) Practice the basics of health, safety and basic first aid principals 7) Practice tour planning and delivery
