CSCM 201 - Basics of Supply Chain Magmt

Course Description:

The course familiarizes the learners with the concept of supply chain management and the basic functions of supply chain professionals. The following topics will be covered: business process, developing products and service, supply chain drivers, and metrics, supply and demand in supply chain management, IT role in supply chain, marketing channels management and customer relationship management role in supply chain management.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  1. Explain fundamental concepts in supply chain management, including supply, demand, logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
  2. Describe Supply Chain flow of materials, information, and finances from suppliers to manufacturers to consumers
  3. Demonstrate the strategic framework of supply chains
  4. Categorize the core activities involved in supply chain management, such as sourcing, production, distribution, and delivery, drivers and metrics
  5. Discuss the process and components of creating value within the overall supply chain management system.
  6. Analyze different supply chain dynamics and variables of supply and demand processes
