CBUS 168 - Future Me Business Edition A

Description:

The Future Me Business Edition is a comprehensive program designed to equip young individuals between the ages of 8 to 16 with essential soft skills and technical skills (Mobile application, Web designing, Arduino & Python) required for future success in the entrepreneurial landscape. This program aims to foster personal growth, enhance communication abilities, develop critical thinking skills, promote teamwork, and cultivate resilience and adaptability. Over the span of three weeks, participants will engage in interactive sessions aimed at developing their soft skills, complemented by technical skill-building activities

 

Program outcomes:

  1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of marketing and sales strategies, learning how to promote small projects effectively. This includes developing skills in market research, target audience identification, creating compelling marketing messages, and implementing sales techniques to maximize project visibility and profitability.
  2. Identify the importance of incorporating charitable aspects into business ventures and understand how such initiatives can positively impact society. This involves learning about social entrepreneurship and the value of designing projects that cater to the needs of people with special needs and abilities.
  3. Develop listening and understanding skills to effectively identify and cater to the needs of customers and stakeholders. This includes learning active listening techniques, empathizing with customers' challenges, and interpreting feedback to make necessary project adjustments.
  4. Demonstrate presentation and storytelling skills to effectively communicate project ideas and objectives to potential customers and stakeholders. 
  5. Develop proficiency in using marketing tools and platforms such as social media, websites, and email marketing to promote small projects effectively. 
  6. Use negotiation and persuasion skills by engaging in simulated business scenarios, such as client negotiations or partnership discussions. 
  7. Develop a strong foundation in Arduino programming language, gaining proficiency in understanding its syntax, core principles, and functionality to create innovative projects with assistive technology.
  8. Acquire a comprehensive understanding of C++ programming language, building fluency in its key concepts and features to effectively utilize Arduino for the development of assistive tech tools.
  9. Demonstrate expertise in identifying, utilizing, and integrating various Arduino hardware components and circuitry, showcasing the ability to design and implement functional projects for the benefit of visually impaired individuals.
  10. Utilize sensors and modules in conjunction with Arduino, exploring their capabilities and integration possibilities to overcome accessibility challenges faced by individuals with visual impairments.
  11. Develop a deep understanding of the specific difficulties and obstacles visually impaired individuals encounter in accessing technology, fostering empathy and a proactive problem-solving approach to create assistive tech solutions that address these challenges effectively.
  12. Use innovation skills through hands-on project development, promoting creativity, critical thinking, and out-of-the-box problem-solving abilities to design and engineer novel assistive tech tools for individuals with visual impairments.
