CCOM 244 - Excel for Financial Purpose

Course Description:

This course will teach students how to use Excel for financial purposes. Students will learn how to create and manage financial data, perform financial calculations, create financial reports, and analyze financial data. The course will also cover the basics of financial analysis, including how to use Excel to calculate financial ratios, create financial forecasts, and make investment decisions.

 

Course/Program Pre-requisites (if any):
   Microsoft Excel (CCOM 188)

 

 

Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

 

1. Define Excel and its benefits for financial purposes.
2. Define financial data in Excel.
3. Define large datasets management in Excel.
4. Apply data validation in Excel.
5. Apply conditional formatting in Excel.
6. Apply the financial calculations in Excel.
7. apply complex financial calculations in Excel.
8. Identify financial data using Excel.
9. Create the financial reports in Excel.
10. Create and use interactive financial reports in Excel.
11. Create data visualization using Excel.
