CCOM 242 - The Future Me - AI

Course Description:

The idea of the program is to help learners have the right mindset, as it is key to successful
adults in the future. The concept is to allow them to envision the future in the 2030s to explore
opportunities that will allow them to achieve better possibilities in career and personal growth
at an early stage of their life. In collaboration with the STEM Club team, the program provides
trendy technological solutions by equipping participants with technical solutions using
programs software and hardware as teaching tools to meet program goals to envision the job
in the field of artificial intelligence.

 

Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

1. Identify how to collaborate with technology in changing world
2. List the importance of human creativity
3. Identify the role of technology in enhancing technological beings or tool users
4. List the advantages of technology in facilitating and executing advanced features
5. Recognize the general security awareness tips
6. Define the online world and how it could be dangerous
7. List the types of danger that they should be aware of
8. Identify the importance of understanding general Awareness topics: (False Identities-Internet predators- Lack of privacy-Use strong password- Types of games you can use and sites you can visit?
9. Define cyber security
10. List the problems of unbalanced screen exposure? (Reading difficulties- wearing glasses-Problems in concentration -Gaining weight- problems in motor skills-Behavior family problems
11. Practice healthy screen habits
12. Recognize the importance of artificial intelligence and its various applications
13. Define the basics of coding and computational thinking
14. Practice how to program using the MIT App Inventor platform
15. Identify the concept of machine learning and its use in AI
16. Use MIT App Inventor to create simple AI-powered Android Applications.
17. Practice problem-solving and critical thinking skills in different situations
18. Explore ethical considerations related to AI, such as bias and privacy concerns.
19. Recognize the importance of teamwork and collaboration skills by working with other learners on projects
20. Present their work and communicate ideas effectively
