CCOM 240 - The Future Me- GD

Course Description:

The idea of the program is to help learners have the right mindset, as it is key to successful
adults in the future. The concept is to allow them to envision the future in the 2030s to explore
opportunities that will allow them to achieve better possibilities in career and personal growth
at an early stage of their life. In collaboration with the STEM Club team, the program provides
trendy technological solutions by equipping participants with technical solutions using program
software and hardware as teaching tools to meet program goals and envision a graphic
designer’s job.


Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

1. Acquire knowledge about the world’s evolution throughout the years
2. Understand how life will change in the 2030s.
3. Envision the world in the 2030s.
4. Identify the jobs that no longer exist in the future and compare & exclude their list with the future list
5. Explore the jobs that are best for the future of the 2030s
6. Draw the Workplaces in the future world of the 2030s
7. Practice how the interviews in the future be like
8. Define the basics of graphic design and how to use design elements such as color, shapes, and lines to create visually appealing designs
9. Practice how to use the Canva drawing tool to create digital art and designs
10. Use layers and different tools in Canva to create simple designs
11. Create illustrations and other graphical elements using Canva
12. Manipulate and edit images in Canva
13. Define typography and how to use it effectively in design
14. Create designs that communicate a specific message or idea
15. Practice problem-solving and critical thinking skills through design challenges and exercises
16. Recognize how to give and receive constructive feedback on their designs
17. List the importance of creativity and self-expression through the creation of their designs
