Synchronous online learning and teaching require assessment. Educators need to assess students not only at the end of a course or term, but also at various points in a student’s learning journey. In this 5 hour interactive workshop series, participants will learn about how to assess learners online for 21st century teaching and learning purposes. Focus is on the needs of teachers who teach language and/or other skills online, as they need to be able to assess learners online using both formative and summative assessment tools. Participants will go beyond learning about the assessment tools needed to assess students based on their specific learning contexts, as they will also be able to develop their ability to make use of assessment for learning and assessment as learning tasks with a view to evaluating student needs, progress, and abilities. Added to this, participants will learn how to select and match currently available tech tools to suit their assessment purposes, participants will receive a letter of attendance at a fee
Learning Outcomes:
