SBAF 207 - International Financial Reporting Standards - IFRS
This course integrates international financial reporting standards (IFRS) into financial accounting course and leverages comparisons between US GAAP and IFRS, as well as international accounting standard treatment if the various topics relate to Egyptian environment.

Prerequisite: SBAF 101 Preparation of Financial Statements.

Part of the: Career Certificate in Accounting and Career Certificate in Finance

Learning Outcomes: By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
1.Discuss the structure of the framework of IFRS.
2.Apply relevant financial reporting standards to key elements of financial reports.
3.Identify, apply and improve efficiency of disclosure requirements for companies in financial reports and notes.
4.Differentiate Principal differences between Egyptian / US GAAP and IFRS.
5.Prepare and interpret financial statements in light of the international Financial Reporting standards.

Admission Requirements for the above certificate(s):
1. Applicants must pass the Standardized English Proficiency Test (SEPT) and score level ENGG B1A.
2. Applicants must have basic Computer Literacy

Term duration: 6 Weeks
Schedule: 2 Sessions/week - 2.5 Hrs/Session

Assessments and Attendance:
Learners are assessed throughout the term by tests, quizzes, assignments, projects or other means of evaluation. End-of-term achievement tests measure learners’ overall performance in the course. The final grade in each course is based on learners’ performance on continual assessment measures and the final test.
