SAS 106 - Supervising Staff
This course provides core skills in effective management of people as well as give the crucial foundational skills to shift from being an individual contributor to a supervisor and team leader who can achieve team success through managing difficult members, coaching, appraising and giving feedback to achieve the set objectives in accordance with the labor law and the organization’s policies. Learners are introduced to labor relations topics such as daily contract administration issues and worker involvement, grievances, mediations, and arbitrations. Learners will understand how to promote diversity and gender equality to help to foster healthy, flexible work environments in accordance with labor law regulations. Learners will learn how to leverage and adjust their personal supervisory style, investigate common supervisory staffing issues like supervising friends, orienting new employees and delegating responsibility when necessary. The course will also equip learners with the skills to appraise and develop coaching and mentoring skills for themselves and others in their team.

Admission Requirements for the above certificate(s) :

1. If offered in Arabic:

Learners must have at least 3 years of experience in a technical-related field after high school completion or completed >5 CEUs (>50 Hours) in SCE’s Applied Studies Department at specific area of specialization or have a bachelor degree.

2. If offered in English:

-Learners must have at least 3 years of experience in a technical-related field after high school completion or completed >5 CEUs (>50 Hours) in SCE’s Applied Studies Department at specific area of specialization or have a bachelor degree.
-Learners must obtain a minimum score of A2C proficiency level on SCE’s Standardized English Proficiency Test.
