SAS 103 - Developing a Culture of Quality
This course seeks to introduce the students to the culture of quality and how it has become a critical driver for long-term success through continuous process improvement and customer satisfaction. Students will be introduced to the different approaches to quality management. They will explore how quality management today concerns the entire value chain, encompassing multi-tiered supplier networks and customer service and returns.

Learning Outcomes :

1. Understand how quality is integral to the success of all stages of any production or service industry
2. Understanding the basics of how to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control quality
3. Understand the most important approaches to quality management and control and the distinguishing features in each, like total quality management, six sigma etc.
4. Understand some of the basic tools and methods for controlling quality in different production and service industries
5. Understand the basics of ISO and other quality certifications and their impact on the business

Admission Requirements for the above certificate(s) :

If offered in Arabic:

1.Learners must have at least 3 years of experience in a technical-related field after high school completion or completed >5 CEUs (>50 Hours) in SCE’s Applied Studies Department at specific area of specialization or have a bachelor degree.

2. If offered in English:

-Learners must have at least 3 years of experience in a technical-related field after high school completion or completed >5 CEUs (>50 Hours) in SCE’s Applied Studies Department at specific area of specialization or have a bachelor degree.
-Learners must obtain a minimum score of A2C proficiency level on SCE’s Standardized English Proficiency Test.
