SAS 101 - Managing Information
The main purpose of the course is to introduce students to statistics and quantitative and qualitative methods for conducting meaningful inquiry and research in order to solve problems. Students will gain skills of data gathering methodology and technique, analysis and presentation using Microsoft statistical tools.

Learning Outcomes :

1- Design a preliminary for precise data gathering.
2- Analyzing & communicate complex data or situations clearly and accurately using Microsoft tool.
3- Use Microsoft access to create and manage databases and retrieve information from database.
4- Recognize the concept of frequency distribution for sample data.
5- Use the principles of probability and the concept of probability distributions.
6- Solve linear combinations of random variables.
7- Use correlation and regression, and be able to make predictions and understand their limitations.

Admission Requirements for the above certificate(s) :

If offered in Arabic:

1.Learners must have at least 3 years of experience in a technical-related field after high school completion or completed >5 CEUs (>50 Hours) in SCE’s Applied Studies Department at specific area of specialization or have a bachelor degree.

2. If offered in English:

-Learners must have at least 3 years of experience in a technical-related field after high school completion or completed >5 CEUs (>50 Hours) in SCE’s Applied Studies Department at specific area of specialization or have a bachelor degree.
-Learners must obtain a minimum score of A2C proficiency level on SCE’s Standardized English Proficiency Test.
