Graphics concepts and principles; overview of Photoshop image manipulation features; digital image types and file formats; manipulating images; Photoshop Plug Ins; using Selections and Quick Masks; extracting objects; retouching images; working with Layers; adding text to images; printing options; drawing; using painting tools; color correction; applying Filters and Styles; creating layers and masks; using Palettes; creating images for the Web; exploring image maps. This program focuses on the creative aspects of designing graphic materials, for the use in publishing and advertising agencies. In this program learners will learn the concepts of digital graphic design. It provides learners with the principles, material and skills necessary to bring a design problem to a logical solution. Learners will create digital graphic designs. They will also utilize Adobe Illustrator to create documents for the use in print production. Learners will learn the concepts of digital graphic design.
