SBSM 203 - Integrated Marketing Communication |
This course introduces learners to the concept of Integrated Marketing Communications
(IMC) in which conventional marketing has changed to include broader scope of promotional
tools. Today’s marketers are thinking and planning in a way to integrate marketing communication
psychology, changing environment, image and brand management, customer /
audience relationship management, marketing communication planning as well as marketing
communications campaigns.
Prerequisites Foundation Certificate Marketing. Part of the: * Career Certificate in Marketing Learning Outcomes: 1. Locate marketing communication mix in marketing mix 2. Demonstrate the importance of integration in marketing communication 3. Analyze attitude formation role in the consumer persuasion process 4. Develop IMC budgets using different methods 5. Manage public relations, sponsorship & sales promotion tools 6. Design complete IMC plan Term duration: 6 Weeks Schedule: 2 Sessions/week - 2.5 Hrs/Session Assessments and Attendance: Learners are assessed throughout the term by tests, quizzes, assignments, projects or othermeans of evaluation. End-of-term achievement tests measure learners’ overall performancein the course. The final grade in each course is based on learners’ performance oncontinual assessment measures and the final test.
