CSPM 201 - Strategic Procurement Management
This certificate is designed to provide learners with concepts, principles and methods of strategic procurement management. It provides the learners with the advanced skills needed to plan and manage the strategic sourcing and procurement. The following topics are; purchasing management overview, sourcing decisions, inventory management, and basics of forecasting techniques Prerequisite:Foundation Certificate in Supply Chain Management. Career Certificate in Strategic Procurement Management Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to: 1. Define procurement management and its components. 2. Identify operation management basics. 3. Analyze the relationship between procurement, purchasing, and supply management. 4. Demonstrate strategic planning in Procurement management . 5. Demonstrate the supplier selection and evaluation process. 6. Discuss various inventory flow patterns, costs and the trade-offs that exist among them. 7. Assess inventory management processes. 8. Apply various inventory flow patterns, costs and the trade-offs that exist among them. 9. Prepare the vendor management framework. Term duration: 12 Weeks Schedule: 1 Session/week - 5 Hrs/Session Or Term duration: 6 Weeks Schedule: 2 Sessions/week - 5 Hrs/Session Assessments and Attendance: Learners are assessed throughout the term by tests, quizzes, assignments, projects or othermeans of evaluation. End-of-term achievement tests measure learners’ overall performancein the course. The final grade in each course is based on learners’ performance oncontinual assessment measures and the final test.
