SAS 115 - Applied Electric, Electronic Industrial Systems and PLC/HMI Systems |
This course covers the fundamentals of electrical and electronic systems and their components principles, selection criteria and applications. This includes Motors, Switches, Sensors, Relays, Solid state relays, Diodes, Transistors and Integrated circuits. It also covers the fundamentals of Traditional Control, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) & Human Machine Interface (HMI) modules.
A stand-alone certificate : Operational Electro-Mechanical Learning Outcomes : 1-Identify the basic principles of types and applications of electrical and electronic methods, tools, materials, devices, wiring controls and equipment utilized in current field applications. 2-Demonstrate electrical and electronic blueprints and drawings, along with codes applicable to design. 3-Manage the operation, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems. 4-Manage the operation, troubleshooting and repair of electronic systems. 5-Identify basics of circuit protection. 6-Construct basic electric control circuits. 7-Explain main components of PLC controlled system. 8-Design basic ladder diagram for main operations. 9-Analyze faulty control system both traditional and PLC controlled to eliminate errors. Admission Requirements for the above certificate(s) : 1. If offered in Arabic: Learners must hold Thanawia Amma or equivalent or higher. 2.
