SBHR 105 - Learning and Development Management (Talent MNGT) |
This course is a perspective of how training and development fits within the broader context
of human resources management. Topics addressed include: talent management and
people development, aligning training with strategy, linking motivation and performance,
needs analysis, training design, development of procedures of impact evaluation of training
programs, and design career and succession plans.
Prerequisite:Foundation Certificate in Human resource Management.
Part of the: Career Certificate in Human Resource Management . Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Give examples of people development in an organization 2. Align people development with strategy. 3. Practice learning, motivation and performance 4. Assess needs for developing and training 5. Analyze coaching role in learning and development 6. Practice implementation of learning and development as part of business strategy 7. Practice learning and development events administration 8. Measure the impact of training on the organization Term duration: 6 Weeks Schedule: 2 Sessions/week - 2.5 Hrs/Session Assessments and Attendance: Learners are assessed throughout the term by tests, quizzes, assignments, projects or othermeans of evaluation. End-of-term achievement tests measure learners’ overall performancein the course. The final grade in each course is based on learners’ performance oncontinual assessment measures and the final test.
