SBHR 104 - Employee Relation Management |
This course covers the essentials of law governing employment. Topics covered include:
labor law; employment relationship; hiring and firing; wrongful dismissal and just cause;
unions and syndicate behavior, structure, government and operation; grievances and arbitration;
legal framework and application of health and safety in the workplace.
Prerequisite:(SBHR 101 Organizational Behavior or SBOM105 Marketing for Non-Marketing professionals) , and (SBHR 102 Recruitment and Selection)
Part of the:Foundation Certificate in Human Resources Management Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the learners will be able to: 1. Explain equal opportunity and the employee relations with organizations 2 Adapt ethics, justice, and fair treatment in HR management. 3 Demonstrate labor relations and collective bargaining. 4 Revise employee safety and health. Term duration: 6 Weeks Schedule: 2 Sessions/week - 2.5 Hrs/Session Assessments and Attendance: Learners are assessed throughout the term by tests, quizzes, assignments, projects or othermeans of evaluation. End-of-term achievement tests measure learners’ overall performancein the course. The final grade in each course is based on learners’ performance oncontinual assessment measures and the final test.
