This course helps learners increase their effectiveness when dealing with others. Topics covered include
effective communication skills, types of presentations, planning and delivering presentations, establishing
goals, time management, handling stress, resolving conflicts, cross cultural communication, self-concepts
and self-esteem.
Part of the: Foundation Certificate in Business Administration and Management Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Categorize interpersonal skills 2. Set goals and plan 3. Assess listening, and nonverbal messages 4. Develop communication across cultures 5. Plan empowering and persuading people 6. Perform work with teams Admission Requirements for the above certificate(s): 1. Applicants must pass the Standardized English Proficiency Test (SEPT) and score level ENGG B1A. 2. Applicants must have basic Computer Literacy N.B. Learners need to have access to stable internet connection Term duration: 6 Weeks Schedule: 2 Sessions/week - 2.5 Hrs/Session Assessments and Attendance: Learners are assessed throughout the term by tests, quizzes, assignments, projects or othermeans of evaluation. End-of-term achievement tests measure learners’ overall performancein the course. The final grade in each course is based on learners’ performance oncontinual assessment measures and the final test.
