Course/Program Description:
Utilizing learner-centered methodology and task-based instruction, learners will be able to meet their language needs in order to interact in structured situations and communicate using simple sentences and high-frequency words. They will read and understand short texts related to everyday life. They will also be able to write a series of simple sentences to describe people and/or events. The course is the fourth and final level of the A2 stage of the CEFR.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- use key food vocabulary in speaking and writing.
- ask and answer questions about traditional dishes from different cultures.
- recommend and discuss favorite dishes, including comfort foods and their personal significance.
- discuss how different foods affect mood, including the causes and effects of being hungry.
- write short paragraphs about food, including recipes and memories, with correct grammar and pronoun use.
- utilize social media vocabulary accurately in both spoken and written contexts.
- formulate questions and express opinions during group discussions on various topics.
- use descriptive language to explain and evaluate life hacks, including writing coherent review paragraphs.
- ask and answer questions using the second conditional for imaginary scenarios, including collaborative chain stories.
- evaluate ways to spend money and discuss the consequences of different choices.
- express and justify opinions about money and happiness in group discussions and debates.
- write stories about the impact of money on happiness, using relevant vocabulary and specific events.
- identify and discuss a range of job-related skills and responsibilities.
- ask and answer questions about job skills and responsibilities, and write descriptive paragraphs about specific jobs.
- engage in discussions to reach agreement on the most important job skills and compare job preferences for remote or office work.
- present decisions and preferences clearly, providing supporting reasons.

- explain the seriousness of various social problems and suggest solutions.
